Joining Blue Battlefield

Blue Battlefield is naval PVP on the Balenos Sea. You don’t need your own ship; you can use the Guild Galley. We do Blue Battlefield on Fridays and Sundays at 20:00 CET/CEST.

Blue Battlefield rewards 500 mil in gold bars plus 15 Wavelit Crystals which can be exchanged for things like Advice of Valks (+300), 600 Cron Stones per week, and 1500 Crow Coins per week.

At a glance

  • Every Friday and Sunday at 20:00 CET/CEST
  • Lasts one hour. You are free to join and leave whenever you want
  • Register by clicking “No” to turn it into “Yes” in (G) – Guild Member Status
  • Join Blue Battlefield by meeting at Velia. Leave by teleporting back to Velia from anywhere, whenever you want
  • You do not need your own ship. Simply board the Guild Galley and follow instructions

Do I need my own ship?

No. You can use the guild galley.

The galley will meet you along the rocks at Velia wharf. Press (R) to board it. The captain will tell you what to do next: either go into the rowing pit (R) or mount a cannon (R).

How do I row the ship?

The captain will start a rowing minigame periodically. In the minigame, an oar sweeps in an arc, and part of the arc is highlighted in a different colour.

You need to hold spacebar when it enters the highlighted part and then release spacebar when it leaves the arc. It can be quite difficult at first; especially when releasing spacebar. It is better to release early than late.

The rowing minigame fills the blue warpdrive bar, which, when filled all the way, grants the ship a warpdrive Breezy Sail for a short period. The more accurate you are at the minigame, the more you fill the bar.

How do I fire the cannon?

Once mounted, take aim with Shift, then charge to shoot with LMB. You do not need to load cannonballs.

The captain will tell you which side cannons you need and what to shoot.

What if I want to use my own ship?

You can use your own ship instead of boarding the Guild Galley at any time. Before Blue Battlefield starts, make sure your ship has no fish or trade items and is wharfed at Velia. When Blue Battlefield starts, take it out and sail it.

You have free choice on what to do with your own ship unless the captain asks you otherwise. You can PVP with other ships or galleys, or you can damage forts.

If you get sunk, die, or need to remote collect your ship, there is no penalty to sailors. Trade items and fish will be destroyed though.

What if we get sunk or die?

The captain will warn when the galley is about to get sunk. When the galley sinks, click the blue anchor icon that appears and choose Velia. If you die, choose Velia in the death menu. If you don’t see the blue anchor icon, go somewhere where you can get hit and die, such as at the fort, die, then choose Velia in the death menu.

There is no death penalty or any sinking penalty to your sailors.

How do I join or leave partway though?

Join the guild galley by:

  • sailing to the galley;
  • using your Dine to get to the galley; or
  • waiting at Velia Rocks for the next departure.

Leave early by bailing out of the guild galley into the water. A blue anchor icon will appear, click it and choose Velia. Or, if you die, choose Velia in the death menu.

What else is there to know?

This section is optional for people who want to make sure they’re ready for Blue Battlefield and understand it thoroughly. Here are the fine details:

  • If using your own ship, remove fish and trade items. They’ll get destroyed if you get sunk.
  • When Blue Battlefield starts, make sure you are in the safe zone with your ship wharfed. All players will port to Velia, Olvia, Iliya Island, or Lema Island at random and any unwharfed ships will be remote collected.
  • Anyone who is not in a safe zone at any time during Blue Battlefield can be PKed without penalty. This includes characters under level 50.
  • Only last hits count towards capturing and sinking. Time your shot well to get the last hit.
  • Blue Battlefield-specific guild skills are available in the (G) – Guild Skill tab.
  • If you need to remote collect your ship or galley, port it back to Velia. At the wharf manager, choose Transport, choose your ship in the menu, then pay the fee. Your ship or galley will be ready to use after the three-minute transport time.
  • To get back to Velia quickly after Blue Battlefield ends, choose “Return” next to the minimap.
  • The participation condition is capturing a fort at any time and sinking/getting sunk a total of 10 times. You can see our progress in (G) – Node/Conquest War Status.
  • The win condition is capturing and holding a fort when its timer ends. Apart from the fort with a random timer, you can see the time left on the fort on the world map and in the menu in the right.
  • Failing to reach the participation condition results in a ban from registering for Blue Battlefield for the rest of the week. The ban is lifted after the Conquest War on Saturdays.
  • Mission specialists and higher can register the guild for Blue Battlefield in the Node War UI – Naval. Once registered, guildies can yes up.
  • A maximum of 20 guildies can yes up. All yessed up guildies get the reward regardless of whether they actually turn up or participate.
