Readers of the Black Desert Online Adventurer’s Guide have seen evidence of overpowered official staff characters with DP values of almost 20,000.
The Gearing Guide on the official Black Desert website shows images of a base Fallen God’s Armour, which provides 99 DP, being 19,899 DP lower than what is currently equipped. The 84-DP TET (IV): Dim Tree Spirit’s Armour is also seen to be 19,914 points lower.
This means that the person who took the screenshots, who is presumably a GM, possesses a body armour piece which provides 19,998 DP.
It is not yet known what the GM had equipped at the time of the screenshot, but it is likely to be a BIS (MMDCCCXLV): Blackstar Armour or equivalent.
Reacting to the possibility that such armour could exist, officer Yidingbai said: “BDO GM DP OP”.
Friend of the guild Asnowflake speculates that the move might have been in response to GMs being killed while visiting the Battle Arena to give away GM buffs. She tells us that such high DP is required in order to properly mitigate the damage in the event that the entire server obtains full best-in-slot gear and perform burst damage skills all at the same time. “It could happen,” she insists.
